On a show about disaster, there was a story about a lady who gave her space on a bus to someone else, it crashed and many people died. She thanks god that she had escaped death; and this made me think. Everybody reading this has escaped death for every second of their lives, by definition. The fact that some else died when it could have been you isn’t a necessity for you to have escaped death. Not to mention, what bad luck for the person who died instead. Every time I drive, I escape death, an accident that I narrowly avoid, doesn't have to happen in order for me to make that claim.
